Your Empowered Hospital Birth

This five-week class is your complete guide for giving birth in the hospital - not as a passive patient, but as a powerful birthgiver! Rather than focusing on one specific method, this course gives you access to and practice with a wide range of tools that will prepare you to have the best birth possible and feel prepared to give birth without pain medication.

No boring lectures here! You'll be engaging in compelling discussions, practicing comfort measures for labor, trying out labor and birthing positions, conducting mini research projects on birth-related topics, creating birth and postpartum plans, having focused conversations with your partner, participating in role plays, and more. We'll explore:
  • The anatomy of birth
  • What to expect during early labor, active labor, transition, pushing, and postpartum
  • How to overcome the fear-tension-pain cycle and give birth confidently
  • Comfort measures for labor (non-drug pain relief options)
  • Finding evidence-based information and using it to make informed decisions during pregnancy and in labor
  • Writing a birth plan
  • Communicating as a couple and with your birth team
  • How baby navigates the pelvis, and how your position affects that!
  • Breastfeeding and lactation basics
  • Understanding and responding to newborn cues
  • Building a community of support in early parenthood
  • And more!

Kind Words from Past Students

"My wife and I recently attended [Charity's class], and I must say it was incredibly informative. As a husband, I found myself gaining valuable insights into tools and techniques that are essential during labor and birth. This class debunked the notion that men can't play a significant role in the birthing process and equipped us with the means to actively support our spouses. Charity's teaching style was engaging and empowering, making this course a must for any partner looking to be an active participant in the birthing journey."
-John

"I can't say enough good about [Charity's] birthing class! Coming from someone who had little to no knowledge about the birthing process, I can say that the information and things practiced were extremely helpful in calming my nerves and getting educated. I feel much more confident about what could happen with my birth and what I have a say in. I feel like I have way more tools to help and now I feel like my husband can be more involved in the process. I would highly recommend this class to anyone that is expecting, it's truly helped me mentally and physically prepare!"
-Breanna

"So so glad we took this course. Coming from a second time mom, I wish I took this the first time around & Worth every penny and excited to take what we have learned into our birth and postpartum experience. Highly recommend taking this class for a first time parent or even if it’s not your first time around. Charity was a great teacher!!!"
-Amelia
