My journey into birth work didn't stem from experiencing childbirth myself, but rather from navigating the challenges of infertility. During the past few years, I’ve grappled with a lack of purpose. Yet, as someone who's always been fascinated by pregnancy and birth and has felt a deep maternal pull, I found my calling as a birth doula. It might seem odd to dive headfirst into the world of pregnancy and birth while dealing with infertility, but for me, it brought an unexpected sense of peace and purpose. From the moment I began my training to attending my first birth, I knew I'd found where I belonged. In January 2024, I became a Birth Boot Camp Certified Birth Doula.
As a doula, I cherish the opportunity to offer compassion, support, and empowerment to moms. Through my own struggles, I've come to deeply value the beauty and sanctity of motherhood, no matter the path taken to get there. I firmly believe that every mother deserves to have a positive birth experience, whatever that looks like for her. Whether it's providing advocacy, education, or simply being a steady presence, I'm committed to honoring each mom's journey. When I'm not supporting birthing families, I enjoy reading, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with my husband and family.
