As birth workers, one of our most powerful tools is universally accessible: our words. In this workshop, we will practice using language that positively shapes the birth space. After closely review birth stories to identify language usage themes, we'll role play a variety of scenarios to practice setting a positive tone, swaying a negative one, and helping the laboring woman receive and produce positive language. Participants will leave with an increased understanding of the power of their words and how to use them for good!
This workshop is a repeat and extension of the one-hour workshop held on 5/25/19. If you did not attend that workshop, plan to stay for the whole time. If you did attend that workshop, you can join us at 4:30. (Or, you're welcome to come to the whole thing!)
